Focus is about saying no
I quoted Steve Jobs’s saying in the entrepreneurship lesson and unpacked why focus is about saying no (to things you really want to do).
But how do you decide to say no to something you really want to do?
Let’s unpack.
The first thing you need is a goal that you want to achieve.
Then, you need to evaluate each opportunity that presents itself.
Does it have good potential to move you closer to your goal?
Or is it an exciting distraction?
Opportunities are plentiful. But saying yes to distractions can push back your goal years.
I learned that the hard way, and now I scrutinize each opportunity much harder and raise the bar.
Remember, every no is a step closer to a bigger yes. Stay focused, say no, and keep your course.
Success is not about doing as much as possible; it’s about being selective and picking the right things.
And that takes practice.
Best regards,
