Untapped tech team potential
Tech is at the end of the funnel, and that’s a tough pill to swallow for those of us who live and breathe it.
You can have the best stack, the cleanest code, full-test coverage, automated deployments, and a dev experience so smooth that it makes new joiners cry.
But unless you’ve found a problem worth solving and developed the right solution, you won’t get far.
Let’s say you’ve even got killer features, but your offer sucks.
Perhaps onboarding is so convoluted that most give up before getting the benefits.
Perhaps everything works, but no one knows about it?
The point is that by the time you get to a technical solution, a lot has to click into place for it to matter.
What we can do from the tech team is get involved sooner to give better ideas, estimates, and prototypes.
At the end of the day, it’s not product vs tech. Marketing vs sales.
It’s the company trying to serve customers and turn a profit.
If you want to add value, find out what the company needs and how the tech team can support those goals.
You probably have more untapped potential in the tech team than you know.
Don’t let them wait around for Jira tickets.
Yours,
Taj
