Derisking development

When you start a new project, the greatest risk is in the unknown unknowns.

To derisk it, you need to learn. Fast.

Research is good, but experience is better.

What’s the smallest subset of the thing that you want to build that includes the core functionality?

Build it to prove it’s possible and deal with all the nasty problems that come up.

Sure, when you build it full-scale, there will still be surprises.

But if you prototype effectively, you’ll uncover 80% of the things you’d break your teeth on doing waterfall.

Yours,

Taj
