Not another SaaS subscription
I’m setting up company accounts, and it’s become insane how many SaaS tools we use daily without thinking about it.
When you add everything up, there can easily be 15, 20, or 25 different services across all departments.
The same is true for our private subscriptions. We’re getting drained recurringly.
SaaS subscriptions have been the holy grail of monetization, but in a world where everyone is a SaaS, the ones who are not have a competitive advantage.
I’d rather pay more to own than pay less to rent forever.
In the good old days, you bought your software once. Sometimes, with a cash envelope. You got back a burned CD marked with a sharpie.

Most software was cracked, and you could use a bunch of tools for free.
That’s how entire generations of designers learned Photoshop, now enabling Adobe to bathe in gold through their cloud subscription.
I miss those days when you owned your software. Today, the software owns you.
Yours,
Taj
