It’s about figuring out the people, the processes, the tools, the stack, the methods, the attitude.

You always want to think three steps ahead.

The challenge is being realistic about what’s needed now and where the company is going in the future.

That’s the fine line between good engineering and over-engineering.

Prepare yourself for success, but don’t sacrifice too much momentum.

There’s no point in building the perfect system that can survive massive load and is beautifully designed, if you burned all your money on talent and don’t have a product to show that people want to use.
