Just fix the build process

It’s high time we address the surprisingly poor developer experience at many companies.

The devs are just suffering through the long manual build times.

Or the dev environment is so complex to set up that it takes months to get the thing just right.

And then a new hire breaks his teeth on trying to set everything up.

It’s painful every time I land on such a project.

And you know what it often takes?

No more than a day or two of pimping out the build process and the tooling.

You just need someone who’s bothered enough to do something about it.

Are you done manually assembling dev dependencies?
