Who the hell coded this piece of 💩!

One of the best things I’ve done that improved my tech team performance is to foster a sense of shared ownership in the team.

It’s not “the companies’” code base.

It’s my codebase. And it’s your codebase.

And if it sucks, there’s no blaming the guys that built it (badly, drunk, 10 years ago).

It’s on me and you.

If it sucks, we fix it until it stops sucking.

Simple mindset change, but it makes all the difference.
